the investigation of the "Elkins Creek Cast" conducted by Dr. Jeff Meldrum
and Mr. Jimmy Chilcutt. This cast was made by James Akin in the 1990s and
led to the formation of the Georgia Swamp Ape Research Center.
This cast is the only verified evidence
of a "Bigfoot" population in the eastern United States.
