"Paranormal" or "Flesh and Blood" :
What kind of researcher am I?

I have placed this short explanation on my website to describe my personal research orientation.

In short, I hold with the Gigantopithecus Blacki theory of the origin of Bigfoot. I believe that the creature commonly called "Sasquatch" is a remnant hominid. In general, I investigate under this assumption and proceed with the notion that this creature is a "Flesh and Blood" animal. I have categorized this creature under the heading of "Type-1."

However, currently, I am investigating sightings which fall away from the general "norm."

I am researching a creature which has been called a "Marked Hominid" (Loren Coleman), an "Abominable Swamp Slob" (John Keel) and is typified by the "Mo-Mo Monster" and Fouke "Boggy Creek Monster" creature reports.

I have categorized this creature as "Type-2."

It should be noted by visitors that I do NOT identify myself as a "paranormal" researcher. Although, I DO contact and talk with MANY varied people who have different ideas about these creatures. I have open lines of communication with persons who are devoted to the Gigantopithecus Blacki theory. I have open lines of communication with people who feel that this phenomenon is a "spirit," alien," dimensional traveler," etc...

Please DO NOT confuse my research methodology with my personal beliefs. It is unfair to me.

If you must categorize me, then, I am best categorized as a "FORTEAN." I gather information and research into MANY mysteries. For more information - Charles Fort.

The definition of "Fortean Phenomena" which can be loosely defined as: "Strange phenomena, especially those that challenge conventional scientific knowledge. Named after the American researcher and writer Charles Fort. Fortean phenomena include those generally considered paranormal, but also bizarre non-paranormal events such as monsters and prodigies, extraordinary coincidences, and unusual rains."

I like to see myself as the "Kofi Annan" ( the UN Secretary General ) of Bigfoot research. I have no ax to grind, no agenda to forward, and am impartial. I happily research along "Flesh and Blood" lines and if I encounter evidence that points in the opposite direction - I file it along with everything else. I am neutral. I do not attack anyone because of their beliefs. I do not wish to be attacked for my beliefs.

So, in summation, if you can be open-minded and scientific: we will have much to talk about.

If you choose to cut communication with me due to some internal prejudice; well, in the end: I am the winner. Although, I do feel sad that we have reached this type of social environment within the Bigfoot research community.

However, I will continue to work with those who are fair and willing to approach this enterprise with impartiality, intellectual vigor, and a true devotion to understanding the unknown.
